PlusZero signs collaboration agreement at Hydrogen UK conference
PlusZero Ltd has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Spanish company Methanol Reformer at this year’s Hydrogen UK conference, marking the start of a new collaboration focused on methanol-to-hydrogen solutions.
The agreement was signed by PlusZero’s Business Development Director, Rick Minchom and Methanol Reformer’s Business Development Manager, Álex Uhalde Boada, who played a key role in helping drive the initiative forward.
The Hydrogen UK conference provided an opportunity for PlusZero to connect with partners from across the UK hydrogen ecosystem and to highlight the potential of the collaboration.
Following the signing of the MoU, PlusZero and Methanol Reformer are developing pathways to deploy Methanol → Hydrogen → Power solutions using MReformer technology in the UK. Initial efforts are focused on temporary power applications at scale.
The collaboration aligns with PlusZero’s focus on delivering practical and affordable hydrogen solutions for our customer’s decarbonisation efforts. This includes the use of commercially available biomethanol, reformed on-site, to deliver flexible, low-carbon hydrogen power in areas where electrolytic hydrogen infrastructure is still developing.
Practical partnerships such as this are key to accelerating the delivery of real-world hydrogen projects.
