PlusZero Celebrates Living Wage Accreditation

Clean power start-up to pay Living Wage plus 10% as minimum entry pay rate.

PlusZero is celebrating its accreditation as a Living Wage Scotland Employer - ensuring all staff employed within the business are rewarded for their work as the company strives to decarbonise the events sector.

The Living Wage Accreditation - hosted by the Poverty Alliance - recognises employers’ efforts to ensure that staff receive the real Living Wage for their work. The Living Wage is an hourly rate of pay which is set independently and updated annually, in accordance with the basic cost of living in the United Kingdom.

David Amos, Managing Director of PlusZero, said:

“It is without doubt that a real Living Wage is good for business, good for workers and good for society. This is why I am delighted that PlusZero has received this Accreditation from Living Wage Scotland - cementing PlusZero’s commitment to building a talented and valued team.

“PlusZero’s minimum entry pay rate will be the Living Wage, currently £9.5/hour plus a further 10%, to emphasise our support and commitment to tackling low pay.

“I believe there is an exciting future for PlusZero as we look towards the commercial launch of our zero-carbon generator solution in 2022, and growing our business operations to be a key player in Scotland’s zero-carbon future.

“By investing in and supporting our growing team, PlusZero can ensure that every staff member who contributes to our success is rewarded as we strive to decarbonise the events sector.”
